Dr Maheshwari has done his MBBS and then M.D. (Ophthalmology) from Panjabi University, Patiala. He worked as a Medical Officer in the Health and Family Welfare Department of the Government of Punjab for over 22 years. Because of his interest in IVF and Embryology, he keenly learnt the subject and joined Jindal IVF and Sant Memorial Nursing Home as the embryologist in charge in 2013. He now possesses a vast experience in all laboratory procedures in the field of IVF and embryology. He has also done his Masters in Business Administration (Finance) from Panjab University, Chandigarh indicating his vicarious interests and specialization. He has also got certification in embryology as below:

• ESHRE Clinical Embryology Certification

Dr Maheshwari is an active member of professional societies such as the Indian Fertility Society (IFS), Indian Society of Assisted Reproduction (ISAR), Academy of Clinical Embryologist (ACE) Fertility Preservation Society of India (FPSI) and European Society of Human Reproduction & Embryology (ESHRE).

He is an assiduous and meticulous researcher and regularly participates in national and international workshops and conferences on the subject. He has presented numbers of papers in various conferences and has significant publications to his credit.
