We have former Professor and Head of General Surgery of PGIMER, Chandigarh for all kinds of both minor and major surgical problems who is available for consultation on appointment basis. The combined experience of our surgeons extends over more than 50 years, both in and out of PGI. They are available on appointment basis in our OPD area on selected days. Some of the procedures done here include: Biopsy and/or surgical excision of lymph nodes, and other superficial lesions, Hernia surgery, Laparoscopic surgery, including Cholecystectomy or gall bladder surgery, Treatment of gall bladder stones, Treatment of piles and other ano-rectal problems. Any kind of surgical procedure is incomplete without anesthesia and so we have a complete team of anesthetists who are available round the clock for safe and pain-free surgery. The team comprises of an eclectic mix of exuberance and experience and have an enviable safety record for both normal and high risk procedures. What you can expect at our center: All patients who require a surgical procedure, whether major or minor, require anesthesia. So, our anesthetists perform a pre-anesthetic check-up or PAC for all such patients. A detailed history and examination is done and all laboratory tests are thoroughly checked and any more that need to be done are performed in order to ensure complete safety during and after the surgery.
